POLICE stopped a maroon Ford at Kew after recognising the driver as being disqualified.
At 3.15pm Thursday June 5 the 30-year-old Port Macquarie man turned right at traffic lights at the Pacific Highway onto Ocean Drive where police stopped the vehicle and arrested the man.
The man was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station and charged for driving while disqualified.
An unregistered silver Nissan ute was stolen from an address in Jackson Street Kendall between 7pm Monday June 2 and 12.30am Tuesday June 3. The vehicle was later located in Wauchope. Police are appealing for assistance from anyone who may have seen the vehicle.
Eggings in Bonny Hills continue; the latest incident was in Rodley Street. At 8.15pm Monday June 2 eggs were thrown at a car and house. Police received a call from a witness about the offenders. Police would like to hear from this caller again and any other witnesses.
Four youths were seen walking along Bold Street at around 10pm Friday May 30. It is alleged they threw a piece of wood onto the roof of a house and were carrying a hockey stick. The group of youths were male, aged 14 to 15 years. Police are eager to hear from witnesses who may be able to identify the males.
Between 6.30pm and 9pm Friday May 31 an unknown person ran over the top of a car parked in Bold Street, near the Laurie Street intersection. Damage was caused to the bonnet, roof and boot of the car. Any witnesses are asked to contact Laurieton police.
A Port Macquarie man was charged with speeding and driving with a mid range blood alcohol level on May 10. The 27-year-old man was driving a Ford utility and stopped by police at 12.45am after travelling at 115kph in an 80kph zone. Police issued a breath test then arrested the man.
At 6.50pm Saturday May 31 an 18-year-old Johns River man was issued with a traffic infringement for not displaying a P plate. Police stopped the driver on Ocean Drive at Kew, issued a breath test and noticed the missing P plate.
Between noon on Tuesday May 27 and 4.15pm Friday May 30 eggs were thrown at a home in Mill Street Laurieton. Any witnesses are asked to contact police.
An unoccupied car rolled 250m in the Laurieton CBD, crossed the road and collided with a brick wall. Police attended at 10.30am Monday June 2 and said the silver Holden Commodore had been parked outside a business in Bold Street near the Laurie Street intersection when the owner returned to find the car missing. Police inquiries are continuing.
A vehicle stopped on Ocean Drive in Lake Cathie, was waiting to turn right into Ernest Street when another vehicle collided from behind. The driver of the rear vehicle was issued with an infringement notice for negligent driving.
