CH EAGLES
JUNIOR LEAGUE
The U/8's lined up against the Wingham Tigers and our boys were at their scintillating best taking the game 34-6! Sam, with a Man of the Match performance showed his leadership credentials. Jye, Harley, Branden and Tait were defensively brilliant. The big boppers Broden and Billy running like men possessed, straight and hard, bringing great results. Griffin, Jarrod, Grant and Cory were all magnificent with great runs, tackles and passes. Double try scorers were Jarrod, Billy and Cory and Grant with one try. These boys get better every week with great attitude and a sense of teamwork. Can't wait for next week YEE-HAH.
LAKE CATHIE RAIDERS JUNIOR LEAGUE
This weeks game saw the Raiders take on the Wingham Tigers.
The game was very close until the final third, when the Raiders put on a couple of late tries.
Man of the match went to Deizal King.
Try scorers were Samuel White, Lachlan Burrell and Ryan Francis.
Well done boys and keep up the good work.
Round 9 U/7 Lake Cathie Raiders
We came up against a very strong Wingham side who defeated us 38/10. Despite this our team played the full game with plenty of gusto . Dylan James was our man of the match this week for his consistent effort .While Jaymie Alaban ( Hor ) is our Rookie of the week . A huge welcome to Cody and his family . Next week we play at home be at the oval by 8 am .
Under 10's
What a great effort by the Under 10 Raiders going down narrowly 20-16 to the joint competition leaders Glouster Magpies.
Tries to Alex and Talyn gave the boys an early lead at halftime with a great intercept try to Aaron in the second.
Defensively all the boys had strong games but they did tire a little in the second half.
Thanks to all those who helped out with ground preparations and the mums and dads who work tirelessly in the canteen.
Also the committee, kids and all the parents would like to send a big cheerio to Paul, Danni and Hazel and we hope to see you back at the footy soon.

Bonny Hills Beach Hotel Social Golf
Kempsey Golf Course posed some major problems for the Bonny Hills crew last Sunday. The NTP was originally placed on the fourth hole, but no one (neither male nor female) could put their tee shot on to the green. The NTP was then moved to the 8th hole and again the prize went uncollected. It was transferred to the 11th, where Neville Nobody and Nellie Noname had their names on it. Very disappointing!
Despite this poor effort, Anthony Murphy missed church for the first time in many months and handed in a card with 38 points for the 18 holes. He was hitting the ball long and accurately, hitting the greens on many occasions. He was hitting the ball so long that, while waiting to tee off on the 15th, a playing partner suggested that “you won’t reach the group in front of you with 2 shots.” Anthony promptly belted the ball up the fairway and after just one bounce the ball zoomed past the head of Jenny Jackson sitting on her buggy. “Whew, that was close”, commented David. I believe Tony Carroll also hit up on the group ahead of him.
Three players tied for second position with 33 points – Trevor Blackall, Richard Parker and Tom Scrine. Tom was runner-up on a count back. Now Tom was deadly serious about his golf this weekend as he went to the driving range on Saturday in preference over Sex (In the City).
David Middlebrook mixed and matched – going to the Chick Flick on Saturday and golf on Sunday and his scores indicated that assortment of tastes. He had 6 points on the front nine and 22 points on the back nine (including 4 pars and a birdie).
Although there were no NTP’s some prizes collected were: Ladies Longest Drive – Jenny Jackson; Men’s Longest Drive – Anthony Murphy and NTP (2nd shot) David Middlebrook.
Jenny Jackson knew that her group were having a “sh—“day when a bird “crapped” on her score card.
A number of members were intrigued to observe that a Tuesday group foursome could not tear themselves apart and had to play as a foursome. Coach Mason just loved the discussion among the group about who said what; how low his handicap is; what he did not say; how he can’t play to his handicap and lamented having to call “fore” for one of his playing partners. There was another member who was lamenting what he was dealt with in life. Stitchy regularly complained that he was “two inches short all the time.”
The next event will be on July 6 at Wauchope, with a 7am start. The event will be a Single Stroke.

Camden Haven Eagles Junior League
We travelled to Forster on Saturday, having to play two games. First we came up against a strong fast Forster Gold side. We went down 4 tries to 3, this being our first loss of the year. Brad was outstanding both in attack and in defence. He played a true captains game. Davy, Thomas and Ike also tackled and ran well. Our second game against Forster Green, we went down 6 tries to 3. The boys put in a spirited performance considering this was their second game in an hour. Brad led from the front again and all the rest of the boys tried really hard. We will see you at training on Tuesday where tackling practice will be high on the agenda.
Under 11’s
This week we headed to Forster to take on Forster 2, the sun was out and shining and so were our boys. The boys were running this way and that way and straight for the try line not once but twice by Harry, good going Harry. Scott and Josh Kelly who also had a mass of tackles got our 2 goals. Tom and McKenzie not far behind with the tackles. But with Jarrod, Lachlan, Hayman, Marcus, Mat, Josh O’Dell, James, Alex, Zac, Lachie Hudson, Jarman and Riley on this team is it any wonder that Forster didn’t even get close to their try line. Good going you fabulous Eagles. End score Camden Haven 12, Forster 0.
LUSC Fishing
Gidday punters, well I’m writing this report from my sick bed as I have slipped a disc and unable to do bugger all. Whilst it is slowly getting better I had to sit out the last fishing weekend of our year, which was so frustrating but the weather gods eased that pain a bit.
I would like to congratulate every member of our club for the vote to increase the size of bream for the adults, from 25cm to 27cm. Well done to all and hopefully other clubs will follow suit, this is a move in the right direction for the future of our fishing stocks. Whilst the bag limit is still five for weigh-in, the juniors size limit is still 25cm.
To the report, sub junior estuary winner was Matthew Woodward and junior estuary winner was Dylon Baldry. Mens vets estuary was a close run event with Kiwi O’Neill winning the day over Peter Pritchard and Billy Walsh. Ladies vets estuary winner was Marg Sheridan. Mens estuary was won by Burt ‘Pelican’ Hayes with Garry Edwards runner-up (got you Agro). Mens beach and rock winner was Mick Minarsky with a top bag of pigs, bream and taylor, well done Mick. Runner-up was Gary Williams.
Our thoughts and best wishes go out to the silver mullet - Bob Clarke who is on the mend and rumour has it that he may be out soon to terrorise his local beach and rock locations. Good on you Bobby - I’ll buy you a beer as soon as the boss (Bev) says so.
Until next month - happy hunting.

C. H.REDBACKS JUNIOR SOCCER
U/ 7 Red Karabel Homes
We played Wauchope this week and we definitely improved on last weeks results. Some great kicks and some good breaks but we still forget to chase the ball after we've kicked it !!! We came away with a close 5-4 win with all of the team putting in a great effort. Dylan was named Player of the Week for his 4 goals.
U/9 Armstong Oysters
What a gutsy effort from the boys this week playing with 2 players down (Lachie has chicken pox !!), against a full team with reserves. Thanks to Dillon (who filled in for the 1st half before his own game) we were able to field a full team for at least half the game. Jack scored a fantastic goal in the 1st half to put us up 1-0 at halftime. The boys then managed to keep the score to 1-1 until the final seconds when Panthers scored to take the game 2-1. The team was exhausted but can again hold their heads high with their fantastic attitudes. Jack was named Player of the Week for never giving up. Well Done boys !! (PS. Lets see if we can improve our attitudes & behaviour at training as well !)
U/10 Ray White R/E V Crescent Head Stingrays 21/6/08
Saturday saw us have an intense game with the play going from one end of the field to the other. We scored 2 goals but the Stingrays grabbed and extra one in the last 5 minutes for the 3-2 win. Soccer was the winner on the day. See you all at training on Wednesday.
U/8 CH Blue Widders Consultancy v Port Saints Rhinos
The reds played a strong Port team who tackled and controlled the ball well, but some good passing from Mick and Tyron in the middle found Jack on the wing in space, who ran the ball up and passed to Jeb in front, to bang it home three times in a row. Three nil before Port put some pressure on our goals and Tim had to do some good saves. Josh in the middle tackled well with some good passing to Jack who knocked two more goals in. The second half saw Harrison control the back not letting Port have many chances with good hard tackles. Everyone played well and tackled hard, not letting Port have too many chances by chasing back after losing the ball. Player of the match was Josh Burridge.
Goals to Jeb 3, Jack 5 and Michael nearly got one. See you at training.
CH Laundry v Port RSL
Under 13
Went down by 3 goals to nil but showed a lot of improvement since we last met this team and also improvement on our last game. We showed more intensity getting to the ball first, that makes for a great game to watch keep it up girls keep having fun and see you at training.
LUSC YD1 v Port Saints
Probably having too much fun went into the game taking it lightly, we were first to score via an own goal from a cross. Saints then levelled and went ahead 2-1 in the second half then Dean Arnold levelled from a scramble in the area. 2-2 the final score still undefeated, however we missed numerous chances, need to lift our game guys or a loss is just around the corner. Next week home game at Dixie 8.40pm. See you at training no more jokes until we have a win.
Mid Week Ladies Tennis
Once again a wash out of all our matches.
Draw for June 26, at Kendall.

LUSC Snooker
Thursday night snooker major final. As predicted Peter Mayne is the cat amongst the piegons, this time he takes on a very determined Ray MacLaughlin but the Harold Park champion is in the same class and down goes the “Big Mac.” Minor Final “Snakeman” Mick Banicek increases his lead in the race for the biggest prize in this club’s history, runner-up “The Penguin” John Benson - about the oldest player in the room only comes for the company and the jokes.
Goodbye “Rod Hart” good sailing.
Kevin Jarrett was worried that people would say he was an alcoholic but experts now claim he is only a binge drinker.
Tuesday Major Final “Old Smoothie” Brian Lenard hangs on to beat “Captain win all.” Minor Final “Snakeman” does it again (can he win the lot) the “cheese burger” man reckons he should get fries with those burgers (not as big as the picture are they).
Can “North Haven” get a team together “LUSC” have a team of 10 so far. Rumours run riot but “Two Balls” knows “The Boss” can spring an upset.
Next team is “Wingham” let’s play snooker and sort the funny stuff out later.
Tuesdays and Thursdays new members welcome 6pm. Two Balls.
